Bishop John Barres had served as the Bishop of the Diocese of Allentown, Pennsylvania since July 30, 2009 until he installed as Bishop of the Diocese of Rockville Centre on January 31, 2017, in the Cathedral of Saint Agnes, Rockville Centre, New York. He is the fifth bishop of the Diocese of Rockville Centre which covers the counties of Nassau and Suffolk on Long Island in the state of New York.
Bishop Robert J. Brennan is a native New Yorker. Originally from New York City, his family moved to Long Island where he grew up. He was ordained in 1989 and started serving as a priest at St. Patrick's in Smithtown, NY. In 2012 he was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Rockville Centre and serves as the Vicar-General. As Vicar-General, he serves directly under the Bishop and has administrative authority over the entire diocese.
Bishop Andrzej Zglejszewski was born and raised in Poland where he studied philosophy and theology before coming to the US in 1987. He completed his studies at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington and was ordained by Bishop John R. McGann in 1990 for the Diocese of Rockville Centre. After serving several parishes, he was ordained Auxiliary Bishop by Bishop William T. Murphy for the Diocese of Rockville Centre in 2014.
