Dcn. Bill Powers

Rev. Mr. William Powers

Deacon at Infant Jesus Parish

Deacon Bill Powers and his wife Tatty have been parishioners here at Infant Jesus since 1959. With their nine children (all of whom attended the Our Lady of Wisdom School), Deacon Bill took on an increasing role of leadership and service in the Parish. Besides teaching our little ones as a CCD (Religious Education) teacher, Bill also served in the Choir, as Cantor and Lector. 1962 was the year the Powers started a program to teach the mentally challenged and handicapped our Catholic faith. This became a great blessing as families could now fully receive and celebrate the sacraments together.
